Dentselfy
Implant-supported planning for total tooth loss

All-on-4

All-on-4 is an implant-supported treatment approach that, in suitable cases, involves planning a fixed prosthesis on four implants per jaw. It is not suitable for every patient; bone structure, general health and clinical evaluation are decisive.

Quick assessment

All-on-4 is the planning of a fixed prosthesis on four implants per jaw in suitable patients with total tooth loss or advanced tooth loss. Suitability is assessed by bone volume, gum health, general health, the bite relationship and prosthetic expectation. At Dentselfy the definitive plan is created after a clinical examination and imaging.

What is this treatment?

All-on-4 is the planning of a fixed prosthesis using four implants per jaw in suitable cases of total tooth loss or where existing teeth require extraction. In this approach the position and angle of the implants and the prosthesis design are considered together.

All-on-4 does not mean placing a separate implant for each tooth. The aim is to create a fixed prosthesis foundation supported from suitable bone areas. The suitability of the treatment is assessed not only by tooth loss but together with bone volume, sinus and nerve anatomy, general health and prosthetic expectation.

Suitability assessment

The treatment decision is made together with suitability.

Who may be suitable?

  • People who are fully edentulous or at high risk of losing their teeth.
  • Those who struggle with removable dentures and want to consider fixed options.
  • Patients whose bone structure is considered suitable for All-on-4 planning.
  • People who can maintain oral hygiene and keep to a check-up program.
  • Patients who want to plan the treatment process with realistic expectations.

Who may not be suitable?

  • People with uncontrolled systemic conditions.
  • Patients with an active infection or untreated gum disease.
  • Cases where the bone structure is not suitable for safe support with four implants.
  • People who cannot maintain oral hygiene or keep to check-up appointments.
  • Patients who cannot take on prosthesis care in the long term.

Assessment criteria

In All-on-4 planning, the prosthesis design is as important as the implant placement. The dentist evaluates bone volume, anatomical limits, facial support, lip closure, chewing forces and aesthetic expectations together.

In some cases additional surgery, a different number of implants or alternative prosthetic options may be more suitable. For this reason the All-on-4 decision should be made not only on patient expectation but with clinical data.

Process

How is the process planned in Antalya?

In Antalya, the All-on-4 process is treated as a clinical process that includes surgical and prosthetic planning together, not as a quick aesthetic package. At Dentselfy a pre-assessment can be made before travel based on photos, current complaints and any X-ray/CT images.

This preliminary discussion helps the patient form an idea about the approximate process. However, the definitive treatment plan is determined after a clinical examination, three-dimensional imaging, a general health assessment and the dentist's opinion.

Treatment process

  1. Pre-assessment

Photos, current dental status and expectations are reviewed.

  2. Clinical examination

Intraoral status, bone structure and gum health are evaluated.

  3. Imaging and planning

Implant placement, the prosthesis line and the surgical stage are planned.

  4. Necessary preparations

Extraction, infection control or additional procedures are assessed.

  5. Implant placement

Implants are placed in suitable areas.

  6. Temporary prosthesis stage

In suitable cases a temporary prosthesis plan may be created.

  7. Permanent prosthesis stage

The final prosthesis is planned after healing and clinical suitability.

  8. Check-up and care

Hygiene, bite and prosthesis fit are followed.

Aftercare

What to pay attention to after treatment

In the early period after All-on-4, the dentist's nutrition, hygiene and medication instructions should be followed. During the temporary prosthesis period it is important to avoid hard foods and habits that would strain the implants' healing process.

In the long term, special cleaning tools, regular dental check-ups and a prosthesis care plan are needed to protect the health of the tissues around the implants. Although All-on-4 looks like a fixed solution, problems around the implants can develop if regular care is not maintained.

Expected result

Expected result

In All-on-4 treatment the goal is to plan an aesthetic and functional mouth structure with a fixed prosthesis in suitable cases. The result varies with bone quality, implant placement, prosthesis design, oral hygiene and regular check-ups.

No All-on-4 treatment carries a promise of the same result for everyone or of a lifetime guarantee. Planning must be individual, and the surgical and prosthetic stages must be considered together.
